1. Good article. It does not address older cars with caburetors. What would be the advantage of burning E85? I have not seen it available in Southern California. I read an article that it has an effective octane of 100 or better. Does that lend itself to high performance engines? Could a car run as good and develope the same amount of horse power on E85 as it could on race gas? What would be an advantage of converting a muscle car to E85?
