Finally! Getting back to work on Purple Haze

After a crazy two months, I finally got a chance to get back to work on assembling our GM Performance Parts crate motor for Project Purple Haze...

I know, I know. I should have my balls busted severely. But it's been a crazy two months, and time's been short on my end to work on the motor, between thrashing on the web during the week, and catching all the great football action on the weekends. But those things are caling down a bit, today I came in and spent time putting together the top end of the motor, checking piston-to-valve clearance, getting the heads secured, lifters in, etc. Next Saturday I'll be back to finish everything up (our cam retainer bolts went missing!) and have the engine ready for priming and installation in our '92 Camaro.
