Today, its 60 degrees out, the birds are starting to migrate back home, and fresh engines are leaving the shops. All winter I waited for this and apparently so has the rest of the office. Dale Jr. won the Big Bud Shootout, NHRA kicked off in Pomona, and the Super Chevy Show is about to hit its first stop, Baton Rouge. This is always an exciting time of year and I just pulled the covers off a few of the hot rods to prepare for the spring cruises.

   Its time for a spring cleaning both in the garage and under the hood. Every one does their own spring cleaning but I like to put her up on four jackstands and make sure all is as should be. This is the best time to do all of this work because once you start driving, you tend to forget to check; at least I do. I like to check every fluid in the car as well as the brakes, steering, and suspension. Obviously, its good to get through the essentials: oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, fuel filter, antifreeze/water, tires, and tire pressure. You can never be too certain and a few run throughs will ensure that you have done everything possible to make the next year hazard free and enjoyable. Take the time to go through your automobile with a fine tooth comb (if only once a year), and weed out any concerns. 9 times of the 10, everything will be up to snuff, but that one time your oil cooler line is loose, will make all the difference in the world.
