ZR1 or Z06

Money or Fame?

 After a recent visit to the New York Auto Show I wondered about which car I would purchase (not being able to afford either on my salary, but nice to dream).

ZR1

 Beyond a close up view of the ZR1 Corvette and the Z06 Corvette I've determined that I would probably take the Z06 over the ZR1. Yeah OK, I'm a little on the crazy side some may think, but I wouldn't even want to drive the $100k supercar ZR1 - being afraid of damaging it, or better yet hurting its future value. Now the Z06 is a pure driver, fast, badass looks, and with a few modifications - a killer with air conditioning. For me it's the Z06, what's your take (or dream take) on the situation?

1. If I had a choice, I'd go with the Z06, not for fear of harming the ZR1, but I like the extra performance potential int he Z06 more than the ZR1. Bolt the same blower on the Z06 engine, and how much power will you make? A ton!

But I like the naturally aspirated brute horsepower of the Z06, the dry sump oiling system, and that 427 displacement number.

2. I love the look of the ZR1 and that blown LS-wow! I would drive it, but then imho cars are built to be driven-no garage queens in my future. If I had a 1 of 1 anything, i'd piss off the collectors simply because i would drive it, drag it and take it to road courses! The ZR1 looks to be a really cool car-too bad the dealers had to charge "availability markups". Totally removes it from the demographic it was aimed at imo. That said I'd happily settle for a Z06.
