The season-opening Super Chevy Show in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was simply amazing. It pretty much exceeded everyone's expectations. Now comes stop number two on the Super Chevy 2008 World Tour—California Speedway in Fontana. The Super Chevy magazine staff will be out in force. We shot so many features from there in 2007 it took almost an entire year to get them all into the magazine.

Every aspect of last year's Super Chevy Fontana event blew us away. Usually, a first-year event is just so-so, taking time to catch on. Not this one. There were show vehicles, race cars and spectators as far as the eye could see. We expect it to grow exponentially this year. And how about you Tremec/Super Chevy True Street participants? There were 30 entrees at the Louisiana race, a new record. Do you think we can see 50 True Streeters pounding the pavement and strip in Fontana? I certainly hope so. Remember, you don't need a 10-second car to have fun. Any street-legal, registered and insured Bow-Tie (or Chevy-powered) hot rod is eligible to enter. What do you readers think? Will you be there?
