Hard to believe the Procharged 55 runs in the eights

The Super Chevy/Tremec True Street category is building momentum. The word is getting out on the hottest new class at the Super Chevy show series. What is it, you ask? Take your street Bowtie, which has to have all street-legal equipment (lights, turn signals, tires, etc.), to the nearest Super Chevy event. Show proof of insurance and a legit (non-dealer) registration and pass tech. Then you go on a cruise through the local countryside, return to the track and without so much as opening your hood or adding fuel, you make three consecutive passes down the quarter-mile. The person with the lowest three-run average wins, but we also give out prizes to those with the lowest e.t. is a category, such as lowest 10-, 11- and 12-second brackets.

Be one of the tough entries in True Street like these monsters
It looks like our recent feature Nova, but it is not.
Coming at you in a hurry is True Street Atlanta

We've done our best to promote it, including coverage of each race in all issues of Super Chevy. We've done stories on what the series is all about and what you need to do to enter. We're even building a True Street Monte Carlo SS to enter in and showcase the series.

Let's see what your car is all about. Think you can run with the big dogs, like the blue '55 seen here, which averaged an 8-second e.t.! We've had 10-second cars be the overall winner, as well as 9- and 11-second cars. It's just fun to get out and play. Besides, what could be cooler that traveling through the countryside in a police-led caravan of immaculate Chevy iron?
