My Eyes are Writing Checks My Bank Account Can't Cash

Have you ever been wandering around the local mall and bought something that you really didn’t need or have any reason to own? I have a laundry list of downfalls and shortcomings, but the one that squashes the bank account the most would have to be my need to impulsively buy “stuff”. No matter where I am or what I am doing, I find (create) some logical reason for me to spend money.

For instance, a buddy of mine asked me to tag along while he picked up a 42” plasma from Best Buy a few days ago. So we strolled down there and while the box boy was fumbling around in the back room looking for the correct television, I wandered around aimlessly out of sheer boredom. Well 45 minutes, and $125 bucks later, I walked out with a pile of DVD’s in my hands including Resident Evil trilogy, Tin Cup, Braveheart, Demolition Man, and some XBOX 360 game that probably won’t even come out of the rapper. Told ‘ya I had a problem.

Well last night, I was on the infamous EBAY looking for more automotive magazines from the ‘60’s to purchase and fumbled across a 1995 Camaro for sale in my area. Seemed to be a nice car, black with grey interior, a few dings here and there, but it did turn out to be a 6 cylinder. Oh well…time to move on. But as I was about to click the little stupid “X” in the corner of the webpage, it suddenly hit me. I could buy a 6-cylinder, throw an LT1, manual transmission, and 12-bolt in it and make myself a nice little 10-second street car. Twenty minutes later, I was the proud owner of a 6-cylinder 1995 Camaro. So if you ever see my editor, or feel this is a good project, let us know, and I’ll be happy to put anything in this car under the sun to go fast.
