Project True SStreet is not dead! Our 1987 Monte Carlo Project is much alive, although we have hit a few bumps in the road just as anyone who has built a "Project Car" can understand.

While we here at Super Chevy have resources beyond belief, we do encounter some snags along the way just as you have I'm sure. Being a monthly publication does not leave us much time in between issues to get things done, like engine builds and such. Sometimes parts don't get in on time - for whatever reason (delivery system,backorder,etc.), but we cannot wait to get this badboy finished and out to the track. We should have the engine built and dynoed my the end of June, hopefully yielding our 1,300-horsepower projection and it is then off to find a suitable chassis shop to install the cage/rollbar and notch the frame to fit the 10-inch wheels out back. Stay tuned as we roll along and hopefully get this thing running soon!
