Maybe if we clean our trunk, we'll get better fuel mileage?

Junk In The Trunk!

After complaining about fuel pricing and mileage to and from work these days, I popped my trunk. Unloading unnecessary things from the unforgotten hole out back may save a couple bucks I thought.

After taking a gander at all of the stuff I had stashed I wondered if I could do without. Let's see, a box of Wiseco Pistons, Comp Cams shaft rockers for Project True SStreet, my work bag, camera bag, tripod, Mac Tools multimeter, Craftsmen tool set, Matco cordless impact gun, coffee can full of change (don't ask!), Snap On Tool Jacket, beach towel (haven't been there in two years), and an old briefcase. Almost sounds like a trunk full of advertising, huh? It's not, just my mess. I'm assuming that has to be a good 100lbs or so? While I have no idea on what kind of fuel savings I would have without it - it has to be something.
If anyone out there is intelligent enough to have an estimated savings, please let me know. If it is enough to make an impact I may clean it out - otherwise my mobile storage closet is to stay just that!
