No matter which direction you look in - WHAM! you get hit with something - a higher than normal electric bill, a food bill beyond your normal budget, and of course the cost of oil. With fuel prices reaching all time highs and no relief in sight, many are turning to purchase half of the cylinders they have known to love.
With manufacturers looking to close or convert truck plants to produce cars, it's a tell tale sign that monster changes are in the future. After perusing EBay this morning, I noticed the ridiculous prices people are asking (and look to be getting) for old Geo's, Toyota's and Honda's - Is Yugo going to jump back in the race soon? After clicking on an ad for a Geo (I know, what was I even doing there? Research?), the owner had a buy it now price of $4,995 with 110,000-miles on it - Is that a deal? I don't think so, but I'm sure they'll get damn close to it. Are you going to jump on the 4-cylinder bandwagon anytime soon? And is there any relief in sight?
