Project American Heroes Gets Some Color

The readers and service men and women have chosen our red co

For the last few weeks, readers and service people have been visiting www.projectamericanheroes.net to vote on what color and graphics package our charity '69 Camaro SS should wear. Now the results are in: It's red by a landslide.

With precious little time to space (the car needs to be finished in time for its debut at the Super Chevy Show in Joliet, Illinois, on August 8-10), the gang at Route 66 Motorsports started laying on the PPG paint and custom graphics. Nick Jelinek (right) laid down the color and here is the result. Amazing, isn't it? Proud father Bill, the owner of Route 66, looks on in amazement.
