The Fireball Run Transcontinental Rally is one of the largest annual transcontinental motoring events in the country. Teaming up with the Child Rescue Network, this 100-team event will cover over 3,500 miles in 9 days all in the name of recovering America’s missing children.
The festivities begin Friday, September 26th, 2008 with a test day for all invited competitors at the Joint Emergency Services Training Center followed by a Send-Off Celebration at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino on the Mississippi River in downtown Baton Rouge.
Each Fireball Run team is assigned a different missing child. The mission; distribute as many posters as possible along the 3500 journey from the southern part of the United States to the finish line north. Upon arrival to the 2008 Fireball Run teams receive a full color removable decal of their missing child to apply on their vehicle.
