With the Super Chevy Show in Maple Grove, PA quickly approaching (July 17-20), it was time to get the famed '71 Goodmark Camaro ready for the trip. For this we snagged a case of Mobil 1 oil, a Fram oil filter and headed to the bat cave!        

Before heading on a trip of any magnitude with your hot rod, it is always a good idea to give it a once over. After checking the transmission, power steering and coolant fluid levels, I treated the Bill Mitchell Hardcore 454cid small-block to an oil change. Mobil 1 was kind enough to send us a case of 10W-30 Fully Synthetic Motor Oil to keep us protected. We then traveled to our local parts store to purchase a PH5 oil filter from Fram. Beyond changing the oil we checked brake wear (which was perfect), and performed a brake fluid flush to rid the system of any potential contaminates. Last but not least, we'll set our tire pressures and give the Goodmark Camaro a bath before heading out to Maple Grove - hope to see you there!
