There's nothing quite like the Super Chevy circus at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania, outside Reading. Hundreds of remarkable show cars, from stockers to insane Pro Streeters. Then add in a few hundred more race cars and it becomes sensory overload.
There are more first gen Camaros here than I've seen in one place in years. Maybe ever. The popularity of full-size Chevy musclecars continues to proliferate. They are everywhere, running the gamout from one-of-a-kind creations (a '58 El Camino "what if" called El Nomado) to g-machines and street freaks.
On the racing side, there must be 500 or 600 cars battling it out for strip supremacy. The True Street class had 32 entries alone, with the former feature Nova of Marc Shankweiler finishing atop a brutally tough field.
There's still time to get out here today. The judged portion of the show is today and these prestigious trophies in are still up for grabs. See you out there.
