During a recent trip to the Charlotte, North Carolina area, myself along with a few unnamed accomplices snuck into the new ZMax Dragway being built in Concord, NC.  

Usually you read about dragstrips closing across the US - well not in Concord North Carolina. ZMax Dragway (part of the Lowes Motor Speedway Family) is near completion and will actually host an NHRA National event September 11-14, 2008. Wish I could be there to witness side-by-side drag racing - not in two lanes, but four! That's right, picture two dragstrips next to each other - this ought to be exciting.
While the images attached are not the best, keep in mind, they were taken out of a vehicle window, in a rather quick fashion.
