Gotta love older cars and trucks

Problems with my '92 Silverado

Yesterday my '92 Silverado broke down on me. Lately the old girl's been running a little funny, and all the repairs I've been making have pointed towards a possible bad ECU...

So, what happened was, after driving to a nearby Borders books to pick up some reading material, I came back out and fired the truck up. Right off the bat it was running crappy, running on eveyr other cylinder and not clearing up with a goose of the throttle. Then it'd die. I'd be able to start it back up, but it'd still run crappy and die again.

Went and got a new ECU at lunch today ($80 at Autozone) and hopefully this afternoon it'll be installed and my truck will be running again. If this doesn't solve the problem, then I'm not sure what's causing my girl's ailment!
