The Mid America Motorworks Funfest is scheduled for September 25-27 in Effingham, Illinois, and it promises to be the biggest, most exciting yet. Not only is the giant Corvette parts supplier celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, but it is also owner Mike Yager's 60th birthday.

I've known Mike since 1989 and have been buying parts from him since long before that and nobody loves Chevy's sportscar more than he does. His passion for the car and the hobby surrounding it is embodied in the Funfest, one of the largest gatherings of Corvettes in the universe. As in year's past, there will be special features (last year it was a celebration of the Corvette Challenge cars and racing series), a concert, special guests (former Corvette Chief Engineers Zora Duntov and Dave McLellan have been among the luminaries)—the Budweiser Clydesdales even came last year.
