Today was going to be an awesome day for Sup Chevy Magazine and hot-rodding in general. I had a great line-up to take to Englishtown Raceway in the form of a '69 Camaro 396, '66 Chevelle 396, '08 Trailblazer from the May issue, two Pontiac G8's that are scratching at the 10-second door, and a Traxxas Jato remote control car that was going to do 80 mph.
Well, the weather won. We spent the last few preparing for our move to Florida and to be completely honest, productivity was down. This track day was going to get us back on track and ready to rock and roll for the nice weather. I spoke with some of th editors who just made the move and are sitting in sunny Florida, where the weather is 75-degrees as I am in the frozen tundra.
Anyway, we backed our festivities up a week which really isn't a problem, but it would have been nice to get things started on March 1. Expect blogging to be back up to almost daily from yours truely as his office is now about 20 feet away from where he sleeps and hopefully going to increase productivity ten-fold. I look at this as January 1st for me. A new office, a new view, and hopefully a few shed pounds. I did a little math and realized that between travel and going out for food every single day, I will be saving over $12,000 annually. Can one complain?
