Our Super Chevy Top 10 Cars of the Year issue has come and gone, and I have to say, I havn't gotten any hate-mail about us making a Corvette #1. Actually ... I don't think we got any mail. I'll never forget the day I shot that car with Rod and Tina.
We met up in the middle of nowhere Delaware and I drove down there fingers crossed for a good spot to shoot the car. I pulled in the hotel and did a little bit of driving around with a few shots already in my head. Gas station - check. McDonalds - check. Empty parking lot - check. What I wasn't expecting was the enormous amount of people that flocked every single time we stopped. Half knew it was some sort of Corvette and then other half thought it was going to spawn a set of wings and fly away. Whatever the case, it was a fun time. My only regret was not hooking up with a State Trooper or local police and begging him to let me stage a shot where rod pulls him over and has him sprawled across the hood.
What did you guys think of the McDonald's shoot?
