Project American Heroes II, our LS7-powered '69 Camaro SS (which we upgraded to an RS) goes across the auction block at Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday, April 10. All proceeds will go to the Armed Forces Foundation.
Last year, our first American Heroes project car, a '57 Chevy convertible, sold at auction for $130,000—every penny of which went to the AFF. We are proud to be involved with this organization and thanks to all our sponsors, PAH II may be even better than its predecessor. It is sitting in our photo studio right now and it is asimply gorgeous automobile.
Power comes from a Turn Key Engine Supply-built LS7 going through a TCI overdrive transmission. It sounds mean and thanks to the DSE suspension, handles like a slot car.
The car is expected to go across the block between 5 and 7 p.m. Stay tuned for further updates at superchevy.com.
