New owner takes it out

Project American Heroes II, the Super Chevy '69 Camaro project car that auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in Palm Beach, Florida, for a half-million bucks, was seen on April 26 at the Edelbrock Car Show in Torrence, California.

Owner Dave Parker of Los Angeles, who served two tours in Vietnam, bought PAHII in a frenzied bidding war. He is an avid car enthusiast with an amazing collection of vehicles from all marques.

All proceeds from PAHII went directly to the Armed Forces Foundation. Barrett-Jackson sold the car free  of any auction fees.

As you can see from this picture, the car really draws crowds wherever it goes. Thanks, Dave. You are a great American and a true hero.
