We take a lot of heat from import owners that American cars are piles of junk and the import stuff is way better. Well, on Jalponik is a story about the Toyota Prius having unintended acceleration problems. Very interesting. Read more after the jump...
I love the comment in this Jalopnik piece (When a Toyota Prius experiences sudden, unintended acceleration, media reports call it "an unexpected adventure." We seem to recall when Jeeps did the same thing they were called "death traps" and "dangerously deadly.")
Gee, a car that suddenly accelerates on its own and can't be controlled, sounds pretty dangerous and deadly to me. Yet you don't hear anything in the press about this? Nothing about this unsafe vehicle and how it can cause deadly accidents. But, you almost instantly hear anything on the news whenever an American car is found to have some defect or fault that is potentially dangerous or lethal. WTF?!
Anyway, check out the Jalopnik story, see what you think. I know I sure as hell wouldn't call "unintended acceleration" an "unexpected adventure", how about you?
