Associate Editor/Web nut Patrick Hill came rushing into my office the other day. He'd just heard a report on a Florida radio station that that the supercharged GM powerhouses, the Corvette ZR1 and Cadillac CTS-V, had been killed. This wouldn't have surprised me, given the politically incorrect nature of these vehicles and the heavy-handed tactics the Obama administration has wielded since the bailout loans.
I went to the source, Terry Rhadigan of GM Public Affairs, and told him what I heard. His response? "Completely false. A bad rumor." Thanks goodness. These are two cars GM actually sells and they have huge profit margins. Get rid of these and you might as well lock the doors.
If this pair got the axe, you know there was no hope for the supercharged Z28.
