There's no rest for the wicked. Just when we were about to recover from the 118 day build (and recent
sale) of the Project American Heroes II ’69 Camaro, we decide to build Project American Heroes III. Since the first PAH was a '57 Chevy and the second a Camaro, we thought why not build a Chevelle. No sooner do we decide this than an anonymouss donor contributes this needy ’70 Chevelle to the cause.
In case you have not heard, Project American Heroes II sold at the Barrett Jackson auction in Palm Beach, Florida, in March for $500,000 (commission free). The entire half-mil went directly to the Armed Forces Foundation charity, which helps injured soldiers and their families.
So what do you think we should do with this Chevelle? We've had some preliminary discussions and have bounced some ideas around, but we'd like to hear from you, the Super Chevy readers. Should it be Pro Street or Pro Touring? Small-block, big-block or LS-powered? Supercharged, turbo'd or naturally-aspirated?
Let us know what you think.
