This is why gas prices are high!!!

Morons Who Leave Their Cars Running

Do people who needlessly leave their cars running when they get out of them realize what they're doing, or are they just clueless idiots?!

Stopping at the bank to get some cash out of the ATM, I was annoyed by witnessing one of my pet peeves - people who leave their cars running for no reason. This guy gets out of his newer Tahoe, leaving it running, while he goes ot the same ATM for cash. He had no kids in the car, no animals, no one and nothing. Why leave the truck running?

One of the reasons we saw such huge price spikes in gas the last few years has been due to demand. The more gas being used, the higher the price goes. Simple supply/demand economics. And over the last year as demand has significantly dropped off, so has the price (along with other economic downturn factors).

If you've got kids or pets in the car that's one thing, but if you're by yourself (and even if you have a passenger with no health problems) turn your damn car off and save some gas. On it's own this doesn't seem like a lot, but you add a few million cars left running together, and you've got a lot of gas being burned needlessly.
