I have been going to the Summernationals at E-Town for the last fifteen years and have seen some pretty extraordinary things. I remember Joe Amato and Kenny Bernstein in the final round of top fuel back when they had small diameter front tires and revv-ed the engines on the starting line. I could barely see the drag strip as I was 3-feet tall but could see the flames screaming down the strip. Joe Amato pulled a giant wheel stand at the 330 mark, almost right in front of me and I could see the tip of the dragster pointing towards the sky.

It was a hoot finally seeing pro-mods at the Summernationals and we are all still mourning the death of Scott Kalitta. I will be there again this year, hanging out with my brother Dave, who took how the trophey last year in Super Stock and expect for some great racing if the rain ever stops.
