Mecum held an auction in conjunction with the Bloomington Gold Corvette show on June 26-27 and the results were strong despite the slow economy. A full 43 percent of the cars across the block sold and the top dollar fetcher was a '68 L-88 coupe, one of just 80 made. The total gross was $5.9 million.
