I just could not help myself. When Super Chevy contributor Dan Foley called to tell me about a '72 Nova SS that was for sale in South Jersey, I could not pass it up. The price was more than reasonable and the car was loaded with extras that would make it the perfect addition to the fleet (mini-tubs, a Covan's dash full of Auto Meter gauges and it was set up for a big-block).
It's a good 20-footer (or so I am told; I've yet to see it in person), but has typical northeast rust in the front quarters and bottom of the doors. Otherwise, it's solid. The high-back buckets are in very good condition, as is the back seat. Plus, it's straight.
Just what I needed. Hey, anytime you can pick up a pre-5 mph bumper SS anything for cheap you're doing great.
