Procharger's new F-4 blower promises to make big horsepower numbers along with sucking the paint right off your house! (And, no, that's not it in the picture!)
Lenexa, KS: Accessible Technologies, Inc. / ProCharger is using the 2009 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show to debut a new supercharger model designed specifically for the ultra-high horsepower applications. The new ProCharger F-4 supercharger is designed as a step up from the incredible power levels already established by the legendary ProCharger F-3 Series of superchargers.
"It's hard to believe that engine builders and racers are looking for even higher power levels and increased blower efficiencies than the F-3 models already deliver," says Jim Summers, Motorsports Director at ProCharger. "The F-3 has proven capable of 2,000 horsepower on pump gas and 3,000 horsepower on an engine specifically designed for use with a supercharger and running alcohol fuels."
The new ProCharger F-4 supercharger features the performance and racing industry's first application of a 16-inch diameter volute, or compressor housing. Utilizing ProCharger's patented and proven self-contained transmission, as well as the patented high-speed compound bearing assembly, the new ProCharger F-4 is rated at 3,200+ horsepower while providing 5,400 CFM maximum airflow and 45 PSI maximum boost.
"Obviously, the F-4 model represents the next level of centrifugal supercharger performance and horsepower potential," notes Summers. "We are looking forward to working with some of the top engine builders and racers in the industry to see the F-4's true performance potential realized on the track and in other motorsports applications."
