Design Engineering, Inc, manufacturer of thermal tuning products, has just expanded its line up of Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes. New 3, 6 and 9mm sizes have been added along with an assortment pack consisting of a 4-foot length of each to round out the shrink tube category. These three new sizes join the existing line of 12, 18 and 24mm.
Shrink tubes have long offered an excellent way to insulate and protect electrical connections from dust, solvents and other foreign material as well as providing strain relief. Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes’ 3:1 shrink ratio remains flexible and due to it’s thick wall construction is capable of withstanding temperature ranges of -67°F to 275°F with a maximum operating temperature of 394°F during short durations of 30 to 60 minutes. Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes are easy to install by applying 120° F to 180°F of heat to form a watertight seal. These shrink tubes are made from a professional grade flame retardant polyolefin.
As an alternative to plastic ties and tape, Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes can be used to bundle wires, cables and hoses, to repair wire, splicing, termination and offers corrosion and abrasion protection.
