Project Homewrecker, my ’72 Corvette Stingray, was on display at the recent PRI show in Orlando. The valets at the Hilton were kind enough to allow me to park it in front of the main entrance, where it would be safe.
The only "problem" was that it was next to Ford's new SVT Raptor truck and it kind of stole the spotlight from that (admittedly) pretty cool off-road-capable truck. A crowd gathered around Homewrecker as soon as I parked it. I have to admit, it was a huge ego trip. Geez, I love this car. It drives like a dream and the 383 stroker makes passing cars on I-4 as easy as breathing down on the pedal. Thanks to the new Vintage Air setup (see the March ’10 issue of Super Chevy), I was in climatic bliss to and from the show.
