GM Performance Parts will be touring around California showing off the new emissions legal E-Rod engine package and the E-Rod '55 to California enthusiasts held in submission by draconian emissions laws...
GM Performance Parts' (GMPP) innovative E-ROD '55 Chevy concept, powered by the new E-ROD emissions-legal crate engine package, is hitting the road March 15 for a three-month tour of California hot rod shops, GM Dealerships, cruise events, car shows and Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) stations. The tour provides California enthusiasts a close-up look at the groundbreaking system, along with the opportunity to learn more about integrating it in their project vehicles.
The E-ROD crate engine package includes a complete LS3 engine rated at 430 horsepower, emissions equipment - including catalytic converters - and supporting components that enable your performance project car to pass California's stringent emissions tests. It is available now through GM dealers, authorized GMPP retailers and via the GMPP Web site, www.gmperformanceparts.com/erod.
"E-ROD a compromise-free package that delivers great power and efficiency, with the emissions of a modern vehicle," said Dr. Jamie Meyer, product marketing manager for GM Performance Parts. "We developed this system because it's the right thing to do, but our engineers did not sacrifice the performance that stirs hot rodders in the first place."
The tour kicks off March 15 at California Street Rods, in Huntington Beach, Calif. Complete tour information, including dates and locations, is available at www.gmperformanceparts.com. GMPP will also provide tour information on Facebook and Twitter.
