On a recent visit back to the old Dunn Chevrolet in Alabama, I came across an interesting sales invoice from 1966...

Apparently someone in the Roanoke police department saw the need for a high speed interceptor, and all we can figure is "The Man" needed something fast to chase down local bootleggers and speed freaks.

The four door stripper was ordered with the 390 HP 427, a brand new option for '66, and TH400 transmission. This car must've been something else to drive, and we can only figure there was a lot of jockeying going on inside the station house to decide the driver for the car each day...
