My Dad's Old '55

Cars of Our Parents

Back around Christmas I was visiting my parents and going through some old photos of my Dad's...

We came across a stack of old 8x10s of this car.

Dad was born and raised in Miami, and started working for Crane Cams in '66. These photos are dated 1968, some shots of his '55 he took off Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami (this spot is right near where the Miami Marine Stadium is at). This car had a small block (I think Dad said it was a 327) with a four speed.

Unfortunately this car was stolen not too long after these photos, and later found stripped in another part of Miami. Adding insult to injury was the fact that the trunk was filled with parts (including a Hilborn injection system) for the '57 210 racecar Dad and his friends had.
