Since 2007, Super Chevy Magazine (with the help of its advertisers and supporters) has built and auctioned off three classic Chevys to benefit the Armed Forces Foundation. The trio of Bow Ties raised $880,000, all of which went to the AFF. For this reason, the AFF saluted Super Chevy and parent company Source Interlink Media by awarding us with the Patriot of the Year Award at its seventh annual Congressional Gala in Washington, D.C. It's the highest honor given to a company or organization by the AFF.
Route 66 Motorsports, which built the last two American Heroes car, Barrett-Jackson and Speed were also feted by the AFF. It was a humbling experience to stand on stage before military dignitaries, congressmen, senators and celebrities to accept the trophy and give a speech on behalf of Super Chevy and SIM.
Work on Project American Heroes IV is expected to being soon so stay tuned. Thanks again to the Armed Forces Foundation.
