Heidts Hot Rod & Muscle Car Parts, one of the premier names in muscle car suspension components and Kenny Brown Performance, are forming an alliance to bring out even better early- and late-model suspension components for GM products.
The alliance was formed to facilitate the launch of Kenny Brown Performance and expand Heidts product offerings into the track and performance market. The synergy of combined brands will provide performance enthusiasts an expanded range of chassis and suspension solutions for Camaro, Mustang and other performance cars from 1964 to the present.
Heidts, an established leader in street rod and muscle car suspension components for over 25 years, is recognized for its engineering excellence and high quality manufacturing capabilities. The company was founded by Gary Heidt in 1985 and is currently owned by Wallace Leyshon, president of Heidts Automotive, and his business partners.
Kenny Brown, a 25 year veteran in the performance aftermarket, is legendary for building some of the most technically advanced Ford Mustangs. His critically-acclaimed high performance suspension components for street and track-day Mustangs are some of the best in the Mustang aftermarket. After a medical hiatus, Kenny is getting back to designing superior high-performance suspension components for fifth-gen Camaros. Heidts will be the official licensed manufacturing and distribution partner for both his current and future line of late model performance products.
“To meet the growing demand for our products, we have been looking to find a suitable quality partner to manufacture and distribute the Kenny Brown Performance components,” Brown stated in a recent interview. “Heidts was by far the best fit for us. Both companies share the same commitment to quality, performance and value that Kenny Brown products are known for. Additionally, the unique advantage of combining two superior suspension design groups provides unmatched potential for improving and developing products for the street rod, muscle car and performance car segments; so the strategic alliance made perfect sense.”
“We are very pleased to be partnering with Kenny Brown,” says Wallace Leyshon, owner and president of Heidts Automotive. “In addition to the positive chemistry, complementary skills, and experience between Kenny and Heidts, the combined team provides clear advantages in expanding solutions for our dealers and customers, especially in the performance and track segments. Heidts and Kenny Brown are both leaders in providing high quality performance suspension systems to their respective segments and combining the technical capabilities of both companies provides exponential benefits. Kenny’s extended industry and track experience and significant engineering savvy will be of immeasurable value to us as we plan and develop future products .”
To insure the continual flow of segment leading products, Kenny will assume the role of Acting Director of Engineering and New Product Development for both Heidts and Kenny Brown brands and work closely with Owen Bassett, Engineering Manager, Heidts. In addition, Cari Southworth, long time Marketing Director for Kenny Brown, will continue her role with Kenny Brown brand with added responsibilities of overseeing marketing of the Heidts brand as well.
