No, this is not an outtake from a Molly Hatchet album cover shoot. The was taken in Mystic Island, New Jersey in the summer of ’75. The hooligan on the far right is Super Chevy freelancer Dan Foley at the tender age of 17. On the far left is his brother, Jim, who owned the Bel Air. Jim's recently back from an all-expenses paid trip to Afghanistan.
The car itself was bought from a little old lady in North Jersey with 53,000 on the clock. It's a 283 Power Pack four-door hardtop and the paint (pink and white) was all original. The car had been garaged its whole life.
We're happy to report Dan no longer wears overalls without shirts. If you strain your eyes, you'll see part of a '65 Plymouth Belvedere 2-door sedan in the background. Thanks to Jim Foley for sharing this timeless photo.
