The Super Chevy Show at Maple Grove Raceway in Pennsylvania is coming up in less than a month (July 19-21) and the track has all kinds of special events planned. Not only will there be cash prizes to go along with some of the show winner categories, but there will be a special Anniversary Class to recognize the 50th anniversary of the fullsize ’63 Chevrolets. The category is open to all ’63 Impalas, Biscaynes and Bel Airs.
The ’63s were landmark automobiles, both in looks and performance. This was the year that ushered in the Z-11 drag cars, the Mystery Motor in NASCAR and the 425-horse 409 in production vehicles.
The Anniversary Class will have it own special parking area in the show field and awards will be given in the following categories:
Winner and Outstanding Stock
Winner and Outstanding Street
Winner and Outstanding Competition
This is the biggest event on the Super Chevy Show series and the magazine's staff will be out in full force trolling for feature cars and interesting stories to put in the magazine. For more information, go to www.superchevyshow.com.
See you there.
